Why Here?

Port Alberta unlocks the potential of the inland port that is the Edmonton Metropolitan Region. We are the northernmost major city in North America. Where air, rail, pipelines, and roadways converge to create a one-of-a-kind regional manufacturing, cargo and logistics hub. From here, a world of opportunity opens up.

The entire Edmonton region is a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ), with access to import-export programs and cash flow tools to help accelerate business growth. Favourable regulations, and incentives enable efficient operations and deliver major economic benefits. And when it comes to the global supply chain, our northern location is a strategic advantage—connecting businesses to international markets.
