As Manager Trade Team with Edmonton Economic Development Corporation (EEDC), Brian’s specific focus is to:

  • Represent the Logistics Sector to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify issues that are barriers to growth and develop appropriate industry solutions and strategies
  • Assist local businesses to expand beyond the Edmonton Metro Region through International Trade

The overall scope of the position is to define the Edmonton Metro Region as a critical International Logistics Hub with the help of a community of Manufacturers, Processors and Logistics Service professionals that possess proven, unique and expanding skills.  A major goal is to connect Canada’s North, Alberta’s vast resource potential, the innovators and the adopters to regional, national and international markets through the International Trade Program and Port Alberta.

Prior to joining EEDC, Brian spent over 30 years as a management consultant focused on supply chain and logistics management as well as helping businesses in a wide range of industries improve their operational efficiency and effectiveness.  Over the past five years, Brian has instructed for the Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA), Alberta Chapter.  His current course load includes four of the eight required modules and three of the six interactive workshops that form part of the Supply Chain Management Professional designation program.
