Infrastructure

Port Alberta supports the development of transportation infrastructure designed to improve the efficient movement of goods and services. Together with local government officials, we intend to continue to advocate for the construction of necessary improvements to the Capital Region’s transportation infrastructure.

Identified infrastructure improvement activities and projects include:

  • Execution of the 41st Avenue S.W. interchange with the QE II highway announced as part of the Asia-Pacific Gateway and Corridor Initiative.
  • Completion of the northeast quadrant of the Anthony Henday Drive ring road in Edmonton.
  • Logistic Support Center facility development for Port Alberta at the Edmonton International Airport.
  • Highway 63 improvements to Ft. McMurray.

As an opportunity-driven organization, Port Alberta will continue to take advantage of opportunities for rapid and efficient transport through the construction of essential local infrastructure.
